Privacy Policy — Naukri Profile Refresh

Naukri Profile Refresh (“the extension”) helps you save and refresh your resume headline and profile summary on Naukri.com. This policy describes what data the extension handles and how.

This extension is completely free. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, ads, or paid tiers.

Not affiliated with Naukri

The extension is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Naukri.com or Info Edge India Ltd. You authenticate directly on Naukri’s website.

Data we collect

We do not operate backend servers for this extension. Data stays on your device unless you send it to Naukri yourself by choosing to update your profile.

• Locally stored pool — headlines and summaries you save, in IndexedDB inside Chrome.
• Extension settings — e.g. setup complete flag, daily refresh enabled, in Chrome local storage.
• Session metadata — display name/email read from Naukri after you sign in (not your password).
• Chrome Sync — optional copy of your saved headline/summary pool across Chrome profiles (when Chrome sync is on).

Data sent to third parties

• Naukri.com — when you confirm an update, the extension calls Naukri’s official APIs to change your headline or summary, using your existing Naukri session cookies.
• Google / Naukri login — sign-in happens on Naukri’s login page (e.g. “Sign in with Google” on Naukri). The extension does not receive your Google password.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Permissions

The extension requests Chrome permissions only to perform the features above: storage, cookies for Naukri session, host access to naukri.com, optional alarms/notifications for daily refresh, and tab/scripting access to read your profile page when needed.

Data retention & deletion

• Sign out removes stored auth metadata and clears cached profile reads.
• Open extension Settings → Delete all local data to wipe your pool and settings.
• Uninstalling the extension removes extension storage from your browser.

Children

The extension is intended for job seekers using Naukri and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy when the extension changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
